Built for Drizzle T-shirt

Every road, railway line and British body was engineered to the same spec: overcast, mild, and the occasional bout of drizzle. The Built for Drizzle T-shirt exists because nobody signed off on 34°C in July, and yet here we are again, apparently.

It happens every summer now. The mercury creeps past what used to count as a national emergency, the trains grind to a halt because the wrong kind of sunshine is apparently on the tracks, and the whole country acts baffled rather than admitting this is the fourth “unprecedented” heatwave running.

The design itself is a proper industrial hazard-warning label — black text on hazard yellow, full caps — certifying the wearer BUILT FOR DRIZZLE and CURRENTLY OPERATING OUTSIDE DESIGN SPECIFICATION, DUE TO THE HEAT. Think less fashion statement, more compliance certificate for anyone visibly wilting through another so-called summer.

It’s for the office fan-hoarders, the garden-shade huddlers, and anyone hunting for a satirical British summer T-shirt to match — people whose factory settings top out at “a bit blustery,” which, let’s be honest, is most of the country.

Printed in the UK on 100% organic cotton, with free UK delivery, because at least some things round here should still perform to spec — even if the weather won’t.
